Question on the Shoutcast v1 email
« on: December 27, 2016, 03:50:09 PM »
I’m currently encoding my broadcast with butt, which is a v1 source. It’s then sent to my server host, running Shoutcast v2.4.7.256.

My understanding is that the issue with Shoutcast v1.9.8 is with the server software and that my current setup is in the clear?

Where can we find your website. I'll listen using Chrome to see if there is an issue with that setup. That's a simple solution to find out if it solves the non-audible action using Chrome and Safari browsers.

Actually, if you are listed as Toast Radio in the StreamLicensing.com station directory, I found your AAC stream, which I can hear in my Chrome browser.

However, my Shoutcast v1 MP3 stream is currently playable in FOXFIRE, but NOT in Chrome. I'll likely be  switching to feeding a Shoutcast v2 server soon.

That’s the one, thanks for checking. I hadn’t noticed any issues listening in Safari, but usually I’m listening in VLC or the Tunein app.
