Radio Web Site Developmemt / Re: Coustomizing A Launch Page?

You can name it anything you wish 8) The current default page is not under you upload section, you will have to upload it there when you get it ready ;)

Yes, actually you can customize even that page  8) If you have some knowledge of HTML, you could save the page to your computer, then open that page with a text editor. And edit the HTML. Then, when done editing, save as .html and upload back to your SL file directory.

Also you can create a listen page, that uses your website template, then upload that to your SL file directory. Then you would link your listen tab, icon etc.. to that SL page.

In order to comply with BMI and make them happy , you would need to make sure that the page is uploaded under the StreamLicensing domain under your account. This is because, the actual licensed domain is . We are affiliate stations to SL  :)  Also, this is very important as well, when the listen page link is created make sure that when the listen page opens, your domain completely closes.

In other words ,when a listener clicks that link to launch the listen page from your domain, you website must open the listen page under SL, and completely close your website or domain. Automatically of course  :) This is also a requirement of BMI.

If a station launches a listen page or player etc.. under their own domain, then legally, they are taking on the role of a licensed domain. I hope this is making sense =-) So as long as you upload that custom page to SL under your station account and you have set the linking correctly on your domain you will be fine  ;D

I hope this helps =-)

Well howdy =-)

I hear you stream =-) But your album art and song information is not showing up =-( Is this what you are trying to fix ?

I can also help you with this. but this depends on the format that you guys are using. What I would suggest is to get the music from a reputable company. There are quite a few out there. I use TM Studios for my music library. I think I have your number in the email I got from you. the referral one. Will call shortly =-)

Hello Sandra,

You can add another player, just make sure that the player is under the the Streamlicensing domain. But for the purpose of collecting stats and staying legal, you would want to ad a second station to your SL account. This is because it also makes it easier for you in the long run. Even though you have one domain .Since you will have two different streams playing different things. If you would like, I can help you do this. No charge =-) For me I have three stations all on the same account.

You can email me from the same address you sent me about the player I am using from Securenetsystems=-)

Out with the old way, and in with the new. The time has come to unveil a new way of streaming. Now everyone can have commercials in stream! That was not a misstatement.

Still skeptical. Here are a few stations using the DJCMedia AIS System

     America's Country

     Big Mix Radio

     Acoustic Alternative

     KROB Radio

If your like most of us, and streaming cost keep going up, and the revenue coming in just isn't cutting it. It's time for a definite change =-) We now have permission, from Wes Simkins, the owner of DJCMedia , to start the enrollment process of new affiliates to join our AIS (Ad Insertion) program. You do not have to have any special expertise. We handle all the really technical stuff. So contact us today.

Finally we know what iTunes new radio service is called. Simply put, iRadio, which will be rolling out Monday. However, it looks to be, or will be available only for Mac and not PC initially. Although according to the fact that this service will be free, apple will have to sell ads. One interesting thing, the app has already been put up, and it cost $2.99. I have talked with someone who sent me the link to the app and he said Apple is going very B-I-G with this. And is looking to take the pie, from Pandora, Spotify etc...

One thing to note, is that if you have not done an update, you may want to send one in with the new Excel format and you must submit a logo to iTunes. iRadio has the ability like ,Tune-In , to use your current location, currently only on iPhone, to find local stations. Or if you like you can search by country, state etc..

There is kinda of a downside, and this is troubling to me at least. They have a "Most Popular" station feature. If this is not like Windows Media, and they choose to list only stations with +2,000 listeners, that would be a drag =-( Also they will have a "ton" of stations directly from them.I wonder how huge the impact is going to be, given that I have read they are offering more genres, meaning their stations, than Spotify or Pandora. Every format imaginable, and then some. At any rate here is the app link, which list some of the features etc..

At least we are still in the game, being listed I mean, but there is gonna be a ton of their stations.

I totally agree with you Marvin, this will no doubt have a direct and dare I say a significant impact on stations like ours. I see nothing about Google adding a venue for smaller independent stations on their station directory =-( And I have no doubt that it will not be very long before Apple rolls out it's service. I do still wonder if iTunes will be available to us, as far as listing on there, when they launch. I have a bad feeling about this. Every time I have inquired about this, I do not get a reply. I am going on the basis that Spotify and Google have their own exclusive internet stations now. Will Apple go the same way? I hope not, but it causes one to wonder, especially since there has been no chatter or emails from iTunes about this issue to any of it's current stations.

I have for a long time done very well off of iTunes =-) But since the new player update, I have noticed a drop in listeners, windows media has remained strong =-) Anybody else having the same issue?

Mike & Scott,

Welcome to our forms  ;) Thank you for becoming an affiliate of Remember, if you ever have a question or concerns feel free to ask, and if necessary contact us, here at support, via a support ticket. We value you, and all our affiliates, again thanks for your business 8)

I know I made this mistake about 2 years ago, and I know there are people that are using their own personal station apps for Android, iPhones etc... So listeners can listen on the go, however the music industry considers this a separate license, therefore it is not covered under the umbrella license we use and have. I know Marvin  has mentioned the idea of having an app for Streamlicensing LLC, that one ,when rolled out ,would be legal. Another thing to note is that music videos , have a copyright as well, and cannot be used unless under a licensed domain to play copyright material, such as Streamlicensing LLC. Which means that if, Marvin can answer this one, we are allowed to use music videos, then they could only be watched off the custom launch pages through, not on the personal websites domains we use. At any rate, just good advice =-), "If in doubt check it out =-) Better safe than sorry =-)
