Website Validation Seal
« on: February 07, 2014, 06:50:49 AM »
I know the staff here must be extremely busy with all of the LoudCity switch overs (myself included), but I did want to ask about the validation seal for when someone has a chance.

While I don't have a problem at all with linking to Stream Licensing's validation page to show that my station is legitimately paying its royalties, the seal provided seems a little bit out of place for my site.  Given that, would it be acceptable to instead provide a text link to my validation page, and place that on my main page's sidebar, along with on my listen page (hosted here)?

Alternately, perhaps it would be possible for some people more skilled in graphic design than myself to come up with some alternative seal designs?

ATNEVON, hello, fellow LoudCity Refugee!

I think the StreamLicensing Badge looks just fine on your SL player page:

I know it's a change, but, I'm kind of proud of letting our listeners know that I'm fully compliant with paying music royalties for internet station play of the great music we play everyday in our stream at GreatGold:

One thing I noticed when going to your main website pages, the RADIO link does not yet go to your new SL custom player page. I'm sure you may still be in the process of changing all links on your website and just haven't gotten to it, yet. I'm just noting it here in case you've overlooked the link change. Trying to be helpful. I know, sometimes when I make changes on my site, I forget a few link updates.

I had some trouble with non-affiliated stations putting text or copying our banner and putting it on their website and fraudulently claiming to be StreamLicensing Affiliates. So finally I implemented this hot-linked Validation Seal, to at least reduce fraudulent claims of affiliation.

I don't want the seal modified in any way for that reason. If you feel the seal just doesn't work on your website at all, please contact me for an individual waiver to not use the seal. In that case you should make no claim at all of StreamLicensing Coverage on your website. -Marvin
