When I record station ID's, promos, talkovers, talking and other things I do is there a format I should be following when tagging these files? This is all my voice or stuff I commissioned.

CharlieF,

I see this has gone unanswered so I will share that the licensing services discount mp3 files with lengths as short as station liners, sweepers, drops, IDs, promos, etc. Most of the time they are less than 10 seconds, and very few will go up to 30-60 seconds at the most, in length.

At L365, we were told to tag them as Station IDs. I have kept that practice throughout my transitions to LC and now to SL, which translates into 15 years total of webcasting for all 3 licensing entities combined.

Not sure SL's official word on how to tag station imaging and promos.

However, going back to my live365 days from 1999-2005 (when I switched to LC)

I tag:

Artist: ID/PSA
Title: Whatever the promo is/ station ID name is.
Album: ID/PSA

Thanks, xmusic! I couldn't remember the specific tag. :P

I do it a little differently now, but your detail is what CharlieF was looking for, I think.
