Station Promotion
« on: February 23, 2016, 09:52:06 AM »
I am asking the age old question. I am looking for low dollar methods for promoting my station.
I have submitted my station six times to TuneIn with no luck. I don't know how they found out that I have bad breath, oh well.
I am open to trying almost anything; I enjoy what I am doing and I want to share the experience with others.
Thanks folks
oldjoe

It takes time trust me, this is my third go at it, and its slower than I remember but in time they will come.

Did TuneIn give you a reason?

Have you tried VTuner or Itunes?

You can always take cheap ads out with Reddit and target specific sub-reddits that would like the genre of music you play.

Create a Facebook/Twitter page if you haven't already. partner with a record label or band manager to offer some swag or signed CD's that you can a contest for, ie: Share the post, comment, etc.

Thank you so much for the ideas; as far as Tunein, they say they cannot connect to my station with the address I provided in spite of asking ReliaStream for the correct address.
I will begin working on the others suggestions immediately
Again, many thanks

iTunes is not apparently taking anyone in. They are not answering any submissions. Haven't been for a few months now.

Sorry.
I have been trying to get my station re-listed for four months now. I had just told them to take it down for a while since I was having computer problems.
They didn't put it back.
So I resubmitted, made out the form, submitted it, and still the same thing. This has happened with more than one of my stations.
I don't know what's going on with them, but they are not even acknowledging emails.
