Hi, Gary. "IJS" = "I'm just saying..."

We have often lamented that there is less interaction in the forums than we would like -- especially those of us w/ histories on other radio networks which are no longer around, but which had very active forum boards.

So I was lamenting the fact that whenever I visit the SL forum, there are more guests/visitors than members on the board. Usually, there are 7x or more guests on the board than members.

So that's the reason why, I suppose, there is less interaction than desired. But the people are observing, just not participating for whatever reasons.

So, I'm just saying... it's a fertile ground. They're there.  ;)

I too have felt that we could benefit for more participation in the site, particularly from some of the more veteran broadcasters.
I am just an old coot who has been broadcasting just over a year and  I barely know the difference between an IPod and an IHOP.

;D Well, perhaps with SL's new ownership and potential new direction, it'll inspire the watchers to become participants.  ;)

SMF forums always have more guests than users. I'm willing to bet that most of the guests are bots.

You know, I had often wondered if the Guests were not human. :) But what's the purpose of bots on a forum?

Well Donna, if you would come on more often, I'd have someone to talk to like the good ol' days. This place is like I said before, so dead, you can see and hear the tumble weeds rolling through.  :P

IJS? Really?

Be careful what you wish for :)

Its good to see you both got your flags in the sand still.....

I've been dealing with the nightmare of terrestrial since the issues with CRB.

They mentioned my full name in the paper though, and that was kinda cool.  I head up to complete transmitter repairs (40 mile drive 1 way to the remote site, and it sucks to get there) tommorow.

I salute you, Brutish -- for coming out to play and for at least still being in it -- radio, that is -- some kind of way.  ;)
