If I Were A Coder
« on: August 21, 2016, 10:26:14 AM »
Hey there,

I'm betting there's already "an app for that".  But here's my thought.

Ya know how (for some of us) those ads pop up while browsing the net that reflect the things you've searched for or looked at?  I was thinking what a nice idea it would be if someone could invent a feature that would pull specific content (sweepers, weather, etc.) from a folder for a geographic area on my listener list.

Whaaa, you're wondering.  Is this guy really that lazy?  Well, I'm a retired radio vet that's pretty much a one-man-band, and rely on feeding the automation for programming.  I would immediately use a feature like this to load local concert info to follow artists played.

Doubt if I'll ever have a staff to do all the live work, but I do get in there when I can.  I'm going more for an even keel consistent sound.

As always, watch your levels, tease what's next, answer the request line, make more coffee....and hit the net on time!  (whew glad those days are over)

Thanks for any thoughts on this.
