How do I limit listening hours in SHOUTcast v.2?
« on: January 04, 2017, 11:00:20 AM »
I just switched over to SHOUTcast v.2 from v.1.  In v.1, I limited the number of hours that a listener could remain connected to my stream to six hours.  I've looked around the admin control panel in Centova Cast for v.2 and don't see how I can do that.  Is there a way to do it, and if so, how?

It should be under Configuration, Settings, Advanced, "Always Disconnect Listeners After:".

I have it set for 360 minutes in Centova Cast Control Panel, which is what you want, six hours.

Thanks Elvise.  It was right there under my nose, and I didn't see it.  I appreciate your help.

No problem.  Sorry for the delayed response.  I'm now thinking I may have to reduce mine further, down to 4 hours.  I exceeded my plan.

2-3 hours max is what I limit mine to depending on the station. I figure, if they like the station they will reconnect to it.
