If you open the spreadsheet and don't see the drop downs in the spreadsheet cells you need to open it using a newer Excel version.

After a few erroneous tries at submitting to iTunes that were kicked back after a day or so, on the third submission I didn't get it kicked back.  No news is good news in this case, so I waited 7 business days to put in my "Other Inquiry:" to inquire about the status of my submission.

Only problem was even though I used the proper subject line, and wrote a one sentence summary of my request,  I included the auto response text I received from my last submission.

So, I get back this boilerplate:

" Hello,

If you are continuing to see an automated response it is because your station submission was not completely filled out.   (etc., etc.)"

I resent my email, included an apology for the extraneous info (the auto response text)  Twenty-four hours later:  nothing.

Would like to get to a go/no-go on this, but fear if I rush it too much I'll get blackballed.  We've got 300 listeners slots active, we only need about 1/10 of that normally.  How much longer should I let this go until I pull the plug on this iTunes submission?

(is Elisa-Maria a fictitious person, like Betty Crocker?)

If you want, send me the spreadsheet file and let me take a look.

FYI, Renegade did get accepted into iTunes.  The delay was because the lead time for approval on new stations submitted has temporarily lengthened, according to email I received from iTunes.

Let us know how it goes. You have a good, solid signal,  so if you have enough slots and submitted according to their guidelines you should have a great chance!

I received my acceptance email this morning. I just have to submit artwork now.

"Your station should appear as requested later this week. Please send in 1400 x 1400 JPG cover art in the RGB color space to complete your submission."

Thank you.

I am now listed on iTunes. It was quick and easy. Thanks to the spreadsheet.

Listenership has increased.

What do they do with the logo? I don't see where it appears on iTunes.

is there a way to be sure that the .pls file that was created is correct?  is it a matter of opening it in itunes?

This is what i have in it:
[playlist]
Numberofentries=1
File1=http://206.190.136.212:2970/Live/
Title1=BluesMusicFan Radio
Length1=-1
Version=2

and the title is BluesMusicFan Radio 128kMP3.pls

I would save the .PLS file to your desktop and then double click on it. It should open either iTunes, Winamp or VLC media player (depending upon which media player is default on your computer). If it opens and plays without issue, then the .PLS file is OK.

If you license with StreamLicensing, you should upload the .PLS file to your custom content folder and reference it there.

I just meant when you submit to iTunes, you will want to use the address of the .PLS file as it is hosted in your custom content folder at StreamLicensing.
