it looks good, but the one I am currently using shows he lyrics, the api they are using for this one does not show them, says they don't exist. So functionally I do not like it

What I am noticing is that the new player is not accurately displaying the "Album" tag.

I'm not sure. I like some elements, but I also think SL had to get things going to keep our costs down before getting things tuned up. Album art and lyrics are goofy. I also wish it wasn't a full page, so more like a pop-up player would be better, IMHO. I know this one is large too, but check out the player from K-LOVE. I like what theyve done with theirs. http://www.klove.com/listen/player.aspx

I can't seem to find where we can edit artist/album cover graphics.  Is it still there and I can't find it, or has it been removed?  I had my station set up previously to just display my station logo, but that is no longer the case with the new player.

I just finished changing my launchpage link to my pop out player. The current launchpage is the same as it has been. I just changed the pop out link. If you've been there before, you might have to REFRESH your browser for the player pop out link info to be active.

Here's a link to my site's launchpage at StreamLicensing if you want to see it:

http://www.streamlicensing.com/stations/greatgold/launchpage.html

I've seen some minor complaints about the new player. They aren't using the Amazon album covers from the link in our current StreamLicensing station account panel. I have spent quite a bit of time putting together a group of nice looking 115x115 images. I hope the new player album images start pulling images off the Amazon album art in the list I'm administering for my album feed mentioned above.

It would also be an improvement, I think, for the new player to include 115x115 images where the tiny 80x80 size images now sit.

CLARIFICATION: My current launchpage does not show the 115x115 album images I mentioned above. The images are from the group of album covers/station images I administer for my account at GetMarci.com. GetMarci is an added expense, but the dashboard lets you alter the background color to fit in with the rest of your site's look and feel.

looks good, just remember you cannot use the embedded player on your site effective Jun 1. It has to be their webplayer.

Good question, UrbanHitzRadio. I figured it out for myself because I couldn't find simple instructions at StreamLicensing.com. That's how I made changes to facilitate the link so visitors could open the new mandatory pop up player. I have since suggested through a Help Ticket that it would be a good idea to include simple instructions about how members could update their websites to make it possible for their visitors to open the new mandatory player, too.

This was my answer today:

"Excellent point Gary. I created an article in the Knowledgebase for people to use.

http://www.streamlicensing.com/xstream/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&catid=5&id=61

I will post this now in the client area as an announcement. Thanks for the input."

Is this new player strictly for streaming MP3 or AAC Plus.  If AAC Plus, Shoutcast or Icecast Driven?

Rooster, to answer your question, here are the instructions inside your station client area at StreamLicensing:

"To create a radio player for your website, you must add a launch button to your webpage. The launch button will launch the radio player from your website, following the license rules."

"We have designed a number of launch button styles for you to choose from below. Click one of the buttons below to select it, then copy & paste the code as HTML code onto your webpage."

Please note the following important restrictions:

1. Like all flash players, this player will not play an AAC+ stream on a Shoutcast server. 2. If this stream's server type is Shoutcast: Please either change your stream type to MP3, or Change your AAC+ stream to an Icecast server. 3. Do not use an introductory (pre-roll) file on your stream server.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks Gary,

I am on hiatus until all of the details get sorted out.  Thanks for helping those of us who are outside looking in.
