Greetings oldjoe,

I have been using MegaSeg and Nicecast for more than a few years. Although I am tech-challenged, I would be happy to try to answer any questions you may have regarding my set-up.

You can visit my station, here: SJBCRadio.com

Cheers. - Frank

P.S. I can also help you with your question regarding station ID production and integration into your playlist.  :-)

Frank;
I do appreciate you consenting to attempt to assist me.
There are times that I may appear dumber than dirt, please try to look around this impression.
First: I am having great difficulty recording "station messages" on MegaSeg. How do you record them

Thanks so much
oldjoe

Greetings oldjoe,

First off - 'dumber than dirt' is my middle name.  :-)

Secondly, you can't record anything in MegaSeg. I create all of my sweepers in Garage Band, polish them up in Audition and then import them into MegaSeg just as you would any other file. Then I tag them and schedule them. I placed one, here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s3ilqb8ftjnwn3a/09_sjbcr_sweeper_melvin.mp3?dl=0.

Happy to help you with those.

Cheers,

Frank

I thought that your station I.D. was terrific.
I just downloaded Garage Band and in another 6-12 months when I figure
it out I will have my own flashy station I.D.
Believe me, I really appreciate you steering me in the right direction.

Hello, oldjoe.

C'mon, dude. Garage Band is easy. If I can do it, anyone can. Once you compile all of the sound clips, you can bang one of those out in 15 minutes.

I'd be happy to walk you through the process, via Skype, but I can't do that until next week.

LMK if you would like some help.  :-)

Cheers,

Frank

I don't think that I have been to New Jersey since a rather uncomfortable stay at Fort Dix in 1966.
My wife has a Doc Appoint on Tues. Aug 23 at 1300. I will make myself available at any other time. I am in Houston Tx.
Thanks a bunch for all your help thus far.

Greetings,

Yes, I had a brief stay at Ft. Dix after volunteering for Vietnam in 1966 and then getting shipped-off to Ft. Jackson, SC for bootcamp. You haven't missed anything, although I love it here. My backyard: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zn8oozgojahppks/laurel_lake_640_zpsu4hwuo7f.jpg?dl=0

I will put you in my schedule for then, but is that 1 PM my time or your time? If your time, what time is that my time?  lol

Frank

Absolutely beautiful.
I am one hour behind you.
If it is 0900 in NJ it is 0800 in TX.
Thank you
Joe
